Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is a type of management information system (MIS). Enterprise resource planning is a system that manages in an integrated way not only all of a company's information but also supply chain management and even customer order information. When ERP is adopted, it becomes possible to eliminate causes of wasted cost and production delays in advance — for example, the production department can look up marketing in real time to check and change production schedules.
