For a company account, you must register a D-U-N-S.

After applying, wait for Apple's confirmation.

Caveats when applying for an individual account

  • You must enter your legal name for enrollment to succeed.
  • The iTunes 'last name' and 'first name' DB is not synced with the Developer Console 'last name' and 'first name' DB.
So enter them accurately when registering the account. (If you want to change them, you have to send an email yourself.)
  • For an individual account, the credit card information registered in iTunes must match the credit card used for the final payment. Also, the English name on the credit card must match the legal name registered on the account.
If they do not match, you may receive an email requesting a PDF copy of your resident registration card.
