Electronic trading platform

An electronic trading platform (電子去來 - ) or online trading platform ( - 去來 - ) is software used to connect to servers for trading various financial products, including securities and funds, in order to trade stocks. In everyday use it may refer only to the client, but since the client works as one bundle with the server system it connects to, it refers to the entire system covering both client and server.
Home Trading System
A home trading system or trading platform is a computer program that lets individual investors make financial investment trades in stocks, derivatives, and the like from home or the office without going to a brokerage trading floor in person. Using an Internet-connected computer, you can not only trade but also look up information.
On the Korea Exchange, more than 50% of trades in the KOSPI market and the derivatives market, and more than 90% of trades on KOSDAQ, are made through HTS.

Mobile Trading System
As smartphones became widespread, HTS apps for smartphones and tablets (MTS, Mobile Trading System) also multiplied. Their functions focus on checking quotes and placing trade orders. A widely used HTS among individual investors is Kiwoom Securities' Yeongungmun. For FX margin trading, MetaTrader, made in Russia, is very popular.
