Electric current (電流) is the flow of electric charge, defined as the amount of charge that flows per unit time. The flow of charge occurs in conductors such as wires, in ions with electrolytic properties, in plasma, and so on.
The SI unit of electric current is the ampere; 1 ampere means a flow of 1 coulomb of charge per second. The ampere is denoted by the symbol A.
