GN⁺'s opinion

  • Docmost is an open-source collaborative wiki and documentation management tool, worth considering as an alternative to commercial products like Notion or Confluence
  • The real-time collaboration feature in particular looks useful when multiple users edit a document at the same time
  • Despite being open source, it has most of the key features companies need, such as Spaces, permission management, comments, and version control
  • However, it still seems to need functional improvements, e.g. there is no cloud version yet and only email/password authentication is supported
  • Similar open-source products include Wiki.js, BookStack, and XWiki, so comparing them would be worthwhile
