Diffuse reflection

Diffuse reflection is the reflection of light in which light entering a surface is reflected in many directions. This contrasts with specular reflection, which reflects in only one direction. An ideal diffusely reflecting surface that is illuminated has the same luminance when viewed from any direction. An ideal diffusely reflecting surface follows Lambertian reflectance.
