Data Display Debugger

DDD generally provides an interface that is more convenient to use than other debuggers, and lets you easily set up the environment needed for debugging. However, keep in mind that the debugger itself is gdb by default, and DDD only provides the interface. So DDD absolutely requires gdb. Besides gdb, dbx, xdb, or jdb can also be used.

The source of DDD can be obtained from http://www.cs.tu-bs.de/softech/ddd/. RedHat users can of course also get it as an rpm package. There are two versions of DDD. One uses the Motif dynamic library, and the other uses the static library. The static library version is for users who do not have Motif installed on their Linux system.
