DIN connector

A DIN connector is an electrical connector standardized by the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN), the German national standards organization. Since there are DIN standards for many different connectors, describing something as just a "DIN connector" is not precise. Some DIN connector standards include:

• DIN 41524: circular connectors mainly used for audio signals
• DIN 41612: rectangular connectors used to connect plug-in cards to a backplane or motherboard
• DIN 41652: D-sub connectors for computer data and video
