D2 is a modern diagram scripting language that turns text to diagrams.

Features

• D2 = Declarative Diagramming
• A language for drawing diagrams from text, similar to MermaidJS, Graphviz, PlantUML, etc.
• Provides VSCode/Vim extensions, and can also generate SVG from .d2 files via the CLI
• Open source in Go, usable as a library
• Open-core model (ships with built-in external layout engines dagre/ELK, and sells a separate license for the TALA engine, developed and optimized for drawing software architecture)
