A content management system (Contents Management System) is software used to manage content. Content here means photos, audio, electronic documents, and similar computer files. The idea behind a content management system is to manage content files from any location, just as through the web. Content management systems are also often used to manage existing documents. Many companies use content management systems to store files in a non-proprietary format. As with the server-based software typically used in-house, files can be shared easily, which further increases their availability. As shown below, many content management systems have web content management features, and some of them have workflow processing features. Workflow is a way of moving electronic documents for multi-party payment or for adding content. Some content management systems have workflow tools such as email notification and automatic routing. These are ideal for collaborative work. In addition, content management system tools organize, control, and publish images and multimedia material or large volumes of documents. A web content management system eases the tasks needed to publish web content to a website. Web content management systems are often used to store, control, revise, and publish the following documents.
