The Command & Conquer series.
Red Alert
Command & Conquer: Red Alert is a spin-off of the Command & Conquer series and a real-time strategy game released by Westwood Studios in 1996. The second game in the Command & Conquer franchise, Red Alert is a prequel to the original Command & Conquer from 1995.
It was initially sold for the PC (one package included both MS-DOS and Windows 95 versions) and was eventually ported to the PlayStation. The PlayStation version was re-released for download on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3. On August 31, 1998, Electronic Arts, which acquired Westwood Studios, changed Command & Conquer: Red Alert to freeware in 2008.
