In computer science, a cache (North Korean standard language: kaeswi, gosogwanchunggi "high-speed buffer", gosogwanchunggieokgi "high-speed buffer memory") is a temporary place where data or values are copied in advance. A cache is used when accessing the original data takes a long time compared to accessing the cache, or when you want to save the time of recomputing a value. If data is copied into the cache in advance, it can be accessed faster without computation or access time.
Caches are widely used in many fields to improve system efficiency.
