BuildKit is a high-performance, next-generation open-source build engine designed for the Docker and container ecosystem. Compared to the legacy builder, it supports parallel build processing, efficient layer caching, and automatic garbage collection (GC), and it natively supports multi-platform builds for various CPU architectures (ARM, x86, etc.).
