Booting, or booting up, is the bootstrapping process that starts the operating system when a user starts up a computer. In Korean it is also called sidong (始動; North Korean Munhwaŏ: gidong, chogi jeokjae "initial loading"). The boot sequence is the set of operations the computer performs while the operating system is loaded.
