ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (Chinese: 華碩電腦股份有限公司, Huashuo Computer), trademarked as ASUS, is a Taiwanese computer component manufacturer.
It manufactures motherboards, graphics cards, optical drives, PDAs, laptop computers, servers, networking products, mobile phones, computer cases, and computer cooling (cooler) systems. Its ODM subsidiaries include Pegatron in the PC sector, Unihan in the non-PC sector, and Asusalpha in the laptop sector. Subsidiaries that do not carry the ASUS brand include Askey in communications and Kinsus in chip manufacturing.
The website does provide product driver updates, but once the free warranty (after-sales service) period ends, the product information URL itself is usually removed, making not only updates but even looking up information impossible. For motherboards, the warranty period is 3 years and BIOS support continues through the 4th year, but from the 5th year on it is shut down.
