• Not yet ready to replace the main Tor implementation, which is still in C, but they believe this is the future
• The high-level API is "mostly stable" and ready to be experimentally embedded in other projects
• No guarantee that compatibility won't break, but the high-level API won't change without a particular reason
• 1.0.0 release scheduled for September
