Conversion to dalvik format failed with error 1
Even though the Android SDK had been updated to the latest version, after downloading the latest ProGuard version from here and replacing it in the installed Android SDK (specifically, copying only the bin and lib directories of the latest proguard version to replace the directories in \android-sdk\tools\proguard\), the Conversion to dalvik format failed with error 1 error no longer occurred.

I had added the -XX:+AggressiveOpts option in eclipse.ini to speed up Eclipse, and it optimizes decimal-point compilation.
Removing it makes things work normally.
