Adobe Illustrator is a vector drawing program developed by Adobe Systems. It supports the Mac OS and Windows platforms. Its advantages are that files are small and, because it is vector-based, images stay sharp even when enlarged. Together with QuarkXPress and Adobe Photoshop, it is widely used in desktop publishing. Whereas Photoshop focuses mainly on digital photo retouching and realistic computer illustration, Illustrator focuses on design layout, logos, and graphics. It is used for diagrams, pictograms, CI, character work, and so on, and also for tracing images scanned with an image scanner. As of Q4 2018, individuals could use the Illustrator single app for 23,100 won per month.
