Adobe Flash (formerly Macromedia Flash) is Adobe Systems' web authoring tool and software platform for building interactive, vector-based websites.

Along with the evolution of ActionScript (1.0 > 2.0 > 3.0), its range of use is expanding through integration with various applications such as RIA (user-centered web page creation through the integration of Flash animation technology and server application technology) and AIR (a desktop extension of RIA).
