How to register a Domain with AWS Amplify.
Adding a custom domain managed by a third-party DNS provider
Sign in to the AWS Management Console, open the Amplify console, and choose the app you want to add a custom domain to.
In the navigation pane, choose "App settings > Domain management".
| | Enter the root domain you use and click the "Configure domain" button. |
| | A form for adding subdomains is shown. In the navigation pane, choose "App settings > Domain management". |
| | After configuring the subdomains, click the orange "Save" button at the bottom right. |
| | The Status changes to "SSL creation". |
| | After a moment it changes to the "SSL configuration" state and moves on to the ownership verification step. |
| | Click the "Actions > View DNS records" menu. |
| | The "Update DNS records" dialog is shown. Here you need to complete the domain ownership verification in item 1. Check the CNAME information for it. |
| | Go to the DNS Provider you are currently registered with (Gabia in the screenshot) and set up the CNAME. |
| | Once it is registered successfully, SSL configuration completes and it moves to the "Domain activation" step. Click the "Actions > View DNS records" menu again. |
| | In the "Update DNS records" dialog, check the CNAME for item 2 ("Configure DNS provider") and register it with the DNS Provider. |
| | Once the CNAME is registered, a message says ownership has been verified and asks you to wait up to 30 minutes. |
| | After a while, the status moves to "Available". The domain can be used from now on. |
