Browser history backup and visualization tool

About

  • Command-line tool that backs up browsing history from multiple browsers into a single file and visualizes it
  • Visualization dashboard: view daily page views, top 10 titles, top 10 domains, etc. as graphs and tables
  • CSV export support
  • Works fully offline, so history is managed only on your own PC with no server upload
  • Duplicate-free design: schema optimized so that repeated backups do not create duplicates
  • Supports Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Runs on macOS/Linux/Windows
  • Single Rust-based binary

Usage

  • Basic commands
    • onehistory backup: back up browser history to the DB
    • onehistory serve: start an HTTP server and browse history in the browser (http://127.0.0.1:9960)
    • onehistory export: export to CSV
    • onehistory show: show the paths of browser history files installed on the system
  • Backup options
    • -d: required when the browser is running (disables auto-detection)
    • -f: specify a particular history file (e.g., Chrome → History, Firefox → places.sqlite, Safari → History.db)
    • -D: run in dry-run mode
